"As I am an artist working on identity, feminism, queer forms and immigration I mostly use collage as a medium while the technique itself is an adaptation of different pieces to one form. Here in Monarch Butterflies the technique includes feminine materials like laces, fabrics and stitchings which I mostly collected from my family heritage and doveries. And they form an aesthetic 'bug', the most famous type of the migrating butterflies.
It is kind of a self portrait reflecting female body, immigration and generational flux."
