Chicago-born and -based Eric Stefanski’s paintings and installations capture the raw energy of urban environments, employing a bold, graffiti-inspired aesthetic. His works often incorporate mixed media—including layered paint, stencils, and reclaimed objects—and feature short, direct, sometimes vulgar phrases that draw in the viewer’s attention. Stefanski earned his MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, in 2015. His works have been exhibited extensively in Chicago and Boston, as well as solo exhibitions in cities including Tokyo and Madrid.
