"Per Adolfsen draws landscapes within walking distance of where he lives. He has a special eye for the uniqueness of inevitable places. (...) Per Adolfsen draws with pencils and crayons. Some drawings consist of light lines flying across a field. In other drawings, he has pushed his pencil into the paper with great force. The lines will look like the same furrows in the ground, which the artist returns to again and again in his many field drawings. These are drawings with a great familiarity with nature. It is clear to see that he moves around in it every single day. He draws nature as he sees it."

He has had solo exhibitions in New York, Dusseldorf and Shanghai.
