Kristian Touborg (b. 1987, Roskilde, Denmark) is a painter and mixed-media artist based in Copenhagen. He holds an MA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design. His work explores the intersection of figuration and abstraction through the merging of analogue and digital techniques—using oil paint, digitally printed fabrics, treated surfaces, and collage—often assembling unconventional, polygonal canvasses. Touborg’s images evoke dreamlike, disjointed narratives: familiar everyday motifs are fractured, distorted or grafted together with unexpected, sometimes grotesque elements. His exhibitions have been shown internationally, and his work resides in prominent collections including HEART (Herning), Randers Kunstmuseum, The Blake Byrne Collection, and the Danish Arts Foundation.
