Maiken Lindhardt (b. 1994) is a Danish self-taught visual artist who creates mixed media paintings. She lives in a wooden house near the forest, just outside the small town of Nørholm, close to Aalborg. Living in the midst of nature brings Maiken peace and inspiration. Waking up in this natural paradise sparks new ideas and creativity. Maiken Lindhardt's artwork explores the essence of being human. Her paintings often feature dominant female figures, their expressions capturing a range of emotions. Whether they convey happiness or sadness is open to interpretation, inviting viewers to find their own meaning. She paints in an intuitive and abstract manner, using a variety of tools such as her hands, spatulas, skrapers and brushes. "I've always been drawn to painting faces and people.
