Line Stramer (b. 1984) is a Danish artist and designer based in Copenhagen. Working primarily with clay and sculpture. Inspired by the inner life of the female body and drawing on symbolism from the world beneath the ocean’s surface, Stramer explores themes of life’s transience, the primal feminine, and the origins of life.In this process, the sculptures find their own forms - shaped into otherworldly silhouettes that open gateways to the viewer’s subconscious. The works are created in stoneware, glazed, and finished with platinum silver. Stramer holds a Masters in Design from The Royal Danish Academy and has previously studied visual arts in Rio de Janeiro. She has exhibited across Denmark in both galleries and independent art spaces, with recent highlights including Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen, group exhibitions at Galleri Fie Lei, and several pop-up exhibitions in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg.
