Jasper Sebastian Stürup (b. 1969) is a Danish artist based in Copenhagen. He graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1999. Jasper’s work explores the relationship between figuration and everyday life, combining personal experiences with his surroundings and ongoing fascinations. His extensive oeuvre spans drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, video, and artist books. Throughout his practice, he has consistently maintained the figure and the sensitivity of the drawn line as central elements. Jasper has exhibited at numerous galleries and museums both in Denmark and internationally. In addition to painting, he is the founder and owner of the artist’s book publisher Fluens Forlag, which he has run since 1994.
