In the nineties I studied the old historical photographic techniques platinum-palladium and cyanotype at the ICP in New York City.  And it was actually the distinctive blue colour of cyanotype which helped me give birth in 1999 to the interdisciplinary project 'Quilts & Portraits from Kutch',  focusing on recycling and old crafts. A story made of love and respect for a talented group of women in the Westernmost part of India. My quest for slowness developed since. And after I was taught the photopolymer technique in 2003 my pictorial expression changed and I began to work on a regular basis at a professional printmaking studio in Copenhagen.  The portraiture has always been close to my heart as emphasised in another story viz. ‘Immigrante’ published early 2011. Today my artwork consist of photopolymer etchings,  ilnogravure and collages. I am especially fond of the photopolymer plates as they enable me to combine photography and graphic art. This method allows a distinctive tactile effect which gives the images a strong physical presence.  My work is in museums, institutional art collections and private collections.  I exhibit on a regular basis either solo, in juried exhibitions or group shows in Denmark and abroad. I hold a membership of the Association of Danish Graphic Artists, The Danish Visual Artists Association. I am represented at Gallery Christoffer Egelund, Copenhagen and Galleri5000 in Odense.
